Red Spider

When Mike "Beagles" Charters left Freddy & The Breadcrumbs in 1973 a young 17yr old lad called Wils Donald also from Westnewton took over for two years.

When the band finished Wils joined a band called "Border Lord" with Pete Berry on bass, Phil Nelson lead and vocals and his brother John Nelson on guitar and vocals. From there he joined "Local Stone" with Pete Berry and Neil Routledge on guitar and vocals.

In 1990 "Rewind" was formed with Pete Berry, John Holiday lead guitar and Dave Lee guitar and vocals. This remained the same until the late 90's when Dave Bloxam joined as lead guitarist and the name changed to "Monsoon".

That lead to "Dirty Trix" and now Wils can be seen with the ever popular "Red Spider"
who took the Maryport Blues by storm last year with their entertaining blues, soul and rock'n'roll sets. They  attained great write ups in the local press, even as far as Southampton.
