Pink Dream

Pink Dream consisted of Barry Dunnery (guitar), Bill Branch (vocals), Dave Walker (bass) and Alan Southam (drums).

At first they couldn't afford a van and none of them had a car so they got to their gigs by bus. Barry wonders now how they managed it. Luckily in those days there were plenty of local venues to play. There was the Haven club in Whitehaven, the Tow Bar in Nethertown, the Fox club and the Tin Mission in Workington and Egremont church hall and market hall.

Eventually the band could afford their own transport and bought an old Austin J2 van. This enabled them to take bookings from further afield. They performed in Dumfries and Melrose in southern Scotland and then as far away as Rotherham and the famous Twisted Wheel club in Manchester.

Barry and Bill went on to form Necromandus who are documented on this site and who's 1970's recordings are still respected and available today.
