Late Harvest

Robin McNamara, John Manchester, Robin Melville, Jeff Hodgson and Chris Bradley

In 1971 Robin Melville got together with John Manchester to form Late Harvest.

They had been fellow members of Billy Steele and The Strollers , Robin being on drums and John playing lead guitar.

The other members of Late Harvest were Robin McNamara on rhythm guitar, Chris Bradley on bass and Jeff Hodgson as the lead singer.

The band took their name from a race-horse (another local band The Defenders got theirs from a greyhound!)

This popular band stayed together for 17 years untill 1988 and in that time played around 1800 gigs.

Late Harvest's final farewell gig was a charity concert which raised money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and other good causes.
