Glass Mountain

Glass Mountain were a Workington band comprised of Alan Stubbs, Malcolm Smitham, Len McMean and Peter Fagan.

They were in action from late 1969 to 1973. In Workington they played The Matador, Banklands Youth Club (where the picture above was taken) and in the 70's were regulars at the Speedway club at Derwent Park.

They played all the usual West Cumbrian venues with, like most bands, one of their favourites being Threlkeld Village Hall.

They played at Loreburn Hall in Dumfries supporting Christie (of Yellow River fame).

They also supported Gary Glitter in Aberdeen, Dumfries and Leeds (but they don't talk about that!)
